About Me

Djanikah (Dee) G. Elysée, MAc, is a Boston-based sex educator, researcher, author, and lecturer who specializes in Black gender politics and sexuality. Her passion is for reframing sexual stigma and providing faith-affirming and culturally relevant intimacy coaching for partnered people and individuals. She focuses on educating Black, immigrant, and religious communities to counteract miseducation and provide comprehensive sex education to marginalized communities. She has worked with at-risk adults and youth in her capacity as an acupuncturist, working at Boston Medical Center and other Boston-area free clinics to address community health concerns. She has also worked with community-engaging nonprofits in the addiction and recovery, and mental health spaces. She transitioned to a focus on sex education in 2023, and is currently completing a PhD in Sex Education at Widener University.

In her professional life, Dee, along with two colleagues, co-founded SWELLAA, which aims to set the standard for sex-positive care in communities serving aging adults by providing comprehensive training, certification, and programming. She also serves as the Director of Operations for the J.L. Smith Suicide Prevention Center for Young Black Boys, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on dismantling the structural conditions that lead to the premature death of Black boys. Lastly, she also is the Operations Office Manager for Enroot, a nonprofit that focuses on empowering immigrant youth to achieve academic, career, and personal success. She also cosplays online as “Dr. Drizzle,” a fun way to teach sexuality education to the general public.

In her personal life, Dee is (most emphatically) a lover and worshipper of the Most High God. She is a student of the Scriptures, always seeking to expand her view of, and understanding of her Heavenly Father, while striving to keep the (second) greatest commandment given- “Love others as you love yourself.” She is all about radically connecting God to people that the church (traditionally) neglects or ignores, including but not limited to the LGBTQIA+ community, divorcees, sex workers, and anyone else the traditional church has cast aside. She believes God has a plan for them the way He has one for all His children, and seeks to remove unnecessary (man-made) roadblocks for them to meet/reconnect with the Savior a la “I lay no further burden on thee…”  Her views are her own, and not a reflection of any denomination or church she attends.

Dee Gloria is available for virtual and in-person intimacy coaching, speaking engagements, and workshops. Please submit an intake form, or email dgelysee@gmail.com for more information, or to book her services.
